We'll be at the MayFaire in NY in a few weekends.  Been a long winter and glad to see it go.

Yesterday we went to Balfar's Challenge in Meriden, overall a nice day, and perfect weather.  Spent most of the day hanging out with the Christoforo's.  Little boy was too distracted to have a match with the Gremlin, which was a bit annoying. 

Got a chance to try out some SCA crossbows, which was fun.  We asked the experts to have a workshop so's we can make some.

We all went to a lantern light tour of Mystic Seaport last night.  They did a late 19th century theme, led you around to different buildings and homes, and the Charles W. Morgan.  There was a story of a treasure recovered from a shipwreck, and it end up with a horse drawn trolley ride.

All in all, it was a good program.  Our tour guide spoke a bit softly outside, but once we were inside you could hear fine.  It was easy to get immersed in the whole thing.

We scraped together some 19th century-ish outerwear, so it was almost like a rennie event.
